Eygalieres

There are two grocery stores with excellent local fruits,vegetables and cheeses. There are also two bakeries, an excellent butcher & caterer, a newspaper stand, a post office, a pharmacy, ten restaurants, two hair salons and three lovely bistros with shaded terraces. The city of Saint-Rémy de Provence, just 6 miles away, has many great shops and restaurants as well.

Location:

The property is located 1 ¼ mile from the old village of Eygalieres via a small country road. It is at the end of a 1/5 of a mile private access road.

Eygalieres is located in the centre of Provence.

There are marches (markets selling fruits, vegetables, local food and products)

Within 15 minutes are St-Remy de Provence and the medieval town and fortress Les Baux de Provence.

Within 30 minutes are Saint Rémy, les Baux de Provence, Avignon, Arles, Tarascon and le Lubéron region's hilltop villages Gordes, Ménérbes, Roussillon, Bonnieux and the Sénanques abbaye.

Within 60 minutes are Aix en Provence, the famous Chateauneuf-du-pape vineyards, Orange, Vaison la Romaine, le pont du Gard, Nîmes, Uzés, la Camargue, the Mediterranean, les calanques de Cassis."

There are marchés (markets selling fruits, vegetables, local food and products) in surrounding villages such as Eygalières, Saint Remy and l'Isle sur la Sorgue on alternate days of the week. There are many local and Chateauxneuf du Pape wineries which can be visited.

Sports: There are four beautiful golf courses (Servannes, Pont Royal, Avignon and les Beaux) within 15 miles, horse riding for adults and children, cycling roads with rentals nearby, rock climbing, tennis courts in the village and much more.

Restaurants: There are many fine restaurants in the area in Saint-Rémy, les Baux de Provence, Avignon, local villages, including the Michelin two stars Chez Bru, and nine others.

Airports: Marseilles and Nîmes both 45 minutes away.
Train: Avignon TGV station 30 minutes away. Paris 2h45 train ride away.

Walking Distance:

The home is roughly fifteen minutes walking distance from the town of Eygalieres, and five minutes from the Chappelle Saint Sixte (below)
